Time to make the donuts....

Donuts.  How do I love thee?  There are just too many ways to count....  And there are too many calories, fat grams, carbohydrates, sugar grams, etc. to count, so when I declare a day a "donut-day," my girls are ALWAYS dumbfounded.
    Since we had a half-day of school today I wanted to do something fun with the girls to pass the afternoon.  They're bigger donut fanatics than I am (shocking), so I thought this recipe was ideal.

    The recipe I found came from The Gracious Pantry, a site that I turn to when I'm looking for some already tested, clean recipes.  I highly recommend it!

    I found this cute heart-shaped pan on clearance at Target following Valentine's Day.!
    The donuts rise A TON, so most of them didn't come out heart shaped.. This one surprised me.
    Decorating donuts is great for pint-sized pastry chefs.  Can you say sprinkles?
    Sprinkle heaven.
    Melted chocolate + sprinkles, strawberry jam + coconut, Chocolate + almonds, Chocolate + coconut
    Time to EAT the donuts!
